  1. I use a slow cooker for this stew. Rinse the meat and place it in a colander to drip water.
  2. In a slow cooker I pour coconut oil and onion, garlic ginger, beef cube, jalapeño, vinegar and all the spice the followed with meat.
  3. I stir the meat and let it cook just for few minutes with out adding water for softening of the meat, it gets fried by it self and the aroma fills the house.
  4. Then I add water and let it cook for a while. As it is busy cooking I prepare rice on the other pot.
  5. I open the pot and check the meat is now soft and tender and if not then add another half cup of water
  6. After a while the beef is so soft and it's now falling off the bone
  7. Then add the chutney and tomato paste stir it in and lower the meat heat.
  8. Then mix flour with tomato soup to thicken the gravy.
  9. My hot durban curry smells and tastes like my neighbours.
