Spaghetti Bolognese is one of the most well liked of recent trending meals on earth. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. Spaghetti Bolognese is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

Our best ever spaghetti bolognese is super easy and a true Italian classic with a meaty, chilli sauce. This recipe comes courtesy of BBC Good Food user Andrew Balmer. Spaghetti bolognese (sometimes called spaghetti alla bolognese, or colloquially 'spag bol', spaghetti with meat sauce, or just spaghetti) is a pasta dish that is popular outside Italy. Everyone needs a great everyday Spaghetti Bolognese recipe, and this is mine!

The ingredients needed to make Spaghetti Bolognese:
  1. Prepare mince beef
  2. Get chopped tomatoes
  3. Prepare onion
  4. Prepare mixed herbs
  5. Prepare optional
  6. Take red wine vinegar
  7. Take garlic
  8. Make ready gravy powder

This traditional Bolognese is flavored with garlic, oregano, and a hint of Worcestershire sauce. Everyone needs a basic spaghetti bolognese recipe that still tastes great, no matter how simple. Get that depth of flavour by cooking the sauce very gently until it's super rich. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients (or a lot of money) to make a classic Bolognese recipe.

Steps to make Spaghetti Bolognese:
  1. Chop and fry onion (and crushed garlic if using) for a couple of minutes, until no longer crunchy.
  2. Add meat and continue to fry until the meat is cooked (so that it is no longer pink)
  3. If you have red wine vinegar, add it once the meat is cooked and continue to fry for an extra minute.
  4. Add can of chopped tomatoes, mixed herbs plus a little water which can be used to rinse out the tomato tin
  5. Stir while it comes to the boil.
  6. Put on lid and simmer for 20 minutes, checking occasionally and adding more water if required. If serving with spaghetti, start cooking the spaghetti now.
  7. Once done, stir in gravy powder if using and season with salt/pepper to taste.

Get that depth of flavour by cooking the sauce very gently until it's super rich. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients (or a lot of money) to make a classic Bolognese recipe. What it does take, though, is patience for the sauce to achieve the ideal authentic texture. This sauce is ideal for spaghetti, but can be used with any kind of pasta - great for Lasagna as well. This uses simple ingredients but is very tasty nonetheless!
