  10. Get 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

  1. Get the ingredients ready- grate the paneer, and roughly chop the onion, garlic, green chilli and tomato.
  2. In a wok, heat the vegetable oil and crackle mustard seeds. Saute the garlic and green chilli for a few seconds and then add the onions and tomato along with some salt. It just needs to fade in color, doesn't really have to get golden brown.
  3. Now, add the grated paneer and sprinkle in turmeric powder (just so that you get a yellow color) and some more salt, if required. Mix it in. Cook with lid closed for say 2-3 minutes. That's all it takes since it is grated paneer.
  4. Open and check,you can saute for another 2 minutes keeping it open. (Tip :While doing this,try and separate out if paneer chunks are formed. It is okay to have a few, but we do not want too many mushy chunks, it is better when it is soft yet powdery.) Feel free to garnish to your liking-with spring onion / coriander leaves.
