The ingredients needed to make Trifle custard:
  1. Get 1/2 l milk
  2. Take 2 1/2 tbsp vanilla custard powder
  3. Prepare 4 tbsp sugar
  4. Make ready 1 cup whipping cream
  5. Get 2-3 drops irish cream essence
  6. Take 2 tbsp icing sugar
  7. Make ready 1 pk Britannia fruit cake
  8. Get 2 cups fruit chopped

This will avoid the cream sinking into the custard. Chill the trifle for an hour before serving. This trifle is one of the quickest and easiest desert you could ever make. I made this with just custard and jelly and layered it with cake and dried fruits.

Steps to make Trifle custard:
  1. Take 1/2cup milk in a small bowln dissolve custard powder in it.
  2. Boil rest of the milk and add sugar. Mix well. Then add custard milk in the pan and mix well till u get a thick consistency. Cool and then refrigerate for 30 mins
  3. In a large bowl take 1 cup whipping cream add 2 tbsp icing sugar and 2-3drops Irish cream essence or any essence of your choice. Beat well till you get stiff peak.
  4. In a big bowl place sliced cake pieces to make a cake layer. Then add cooled custard. Layer with some chopped fruits of your choice. Then layer with whipped cream. Again put fruits on top and continue the process.
  5. On top add a whipped cream layer and garnish with some pomegranate pearls on top. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours. Serve cold
